About Cheney Chang

He also worked at MD Anderson Cancer Center in the inpatient and outpatient dermatology clinic. There he worked primarily with Dr Madeline Duvic, a cutaneous T Cell lymphoma specialist. He has also worked alongside other physicians caring for patients with cancer related skin conditions.

Originally from Minnesota, he moved to Texas after attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Upon arriving he worked as a clinical research coordinator at MD Anderson Cancer Center in lymphoma. During his time there he wanted to be more involved in patient care, so he decided to pursue a master of science in physician assistant practice degree at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, Illinois. During his clinical rotations he had a strong interest in dermatology, and did a preceptorship with a dermatologist at the Great Lakes Naval Base.

His professional memberships include the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and is a Diplomate Fellow member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. The SDPA Fellowship program is a comprehensive dermatology training program for PAs working in the field of dermatology. He continues to expand his clinical knowledge by attending local and national conferences to learn the most up to date technologies and treatments.

Houston has been home now for 17 years. When he is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with wife, 7-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son. In his spare time he is an avid runner, traveler, amateur photographer and likes finding good places to eat.
